2019 Boulder Chamber Announces 2019 Women Who Light the Community Honorees

Boulder, CO {July 8, 2019} The Boulder Chamber is pleased to announce the honorees for the 2019 Women Who Light the Community celebration on September 5, 2019. This event, which is in its 24th year, annually honors women who have made significant, innovative contributions to our community by addressing meaningful business, nonprofit, education, arts and/or community needs.
The 2019 Women Who Light the Community honorees include:
Stephanie Carter, Wallaroo Hat Company
Rebecca Chavez, Front Range Community College
Frances Draper, University of Colorado Boulder
Geri Mitchell-Brown, Namaste Solar
Paula Nelson, Parent Engagement Network
Paola Garcia Barron, Boulder High School – Emerging Youth
“Boulder is fortunate to have benefited from the talents of women leaders throughout its history, from its earliest years as a developing academic and business center to today’s amazing achievements that have positive global economic, scientific and human welfare impacts,” said John Tayer, President and CEO of the Boulder Chamber. “The Boulder Chamber is proud to celebrate that history and honor today’s leaders during the annual Women Who Light the Community event.”

For over two decades, the Boulder Chamber’s Business Women’s Leadership Group has presented the Women Who Light the Community event to honor local women who have made significant contributions through innovation and a committed effort to address meaningful business or community needs on a local, regional, national, or global scale.
