Job Description
The Boulder Chamber is looking to hire a part-time Member Development Associate.

This position will be responsible for cold calling on local Boulder Businesses to increase our new membership sales.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has succesful cold calling sales experience and whom enjoys a flexible schedule.

A sucessful Part-Time Member Development Associate can expect to make $2,000+ a month.(Salary + Commission)

Job Title: Member Development Associate
Reports To Member Relations Director
FLSA: 20 hours a week part time salary + commission position
Function: Responsible for membership sales to small and medium size businesses. This position
allows you to be flexible and to make your own hours.
Responsibilities:

Membership sales
• Focus on soliciting and executing membership sales to meet and exceed established membership goals
• Engage with potential new members in person, by phone and email
• Sell members on the benefits of Boulder Chamber membership
• Meet weekly with Member Relations Director
• Attend one to two events a month

Database management
• Manage prospective members in our CRM
• Verify prospective members information

Education: Bachelor or Associate's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Economics
or related field preferred, may substitute for experience

Experience: 1+ years of experience in outside or inside sales with a good network of Boulder
connections preferred, cold calling experience is a must

Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to interact well with others
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work as part of the Boulder Chamber team
• Positive attitude and friendly demeanor

Must be comfortable using technology and learning new systems
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Proficient or willing to become proficient in various database, contact management, event management, customer support and content management software and systems used by the Boulder Chamber

Must be able to work efficiently and effectively
• Strong organizational skills
• Must have a high level of accountability
• Accurate, thorough and detail-oriented
• Motivated by success


Sales Acumen
• Must have a hunter sales mentality
• Ability to sell
• Ability to meet and exceed sales goals
• Professionalism in appearance and actions
• Able to provide own transportation for meetings (mileage will be reimbursed at the federal rate)
• Experience in selling to a defined demographic

Working Conditions: 20 hours a week in the Boulder Chamber office
Typical Physical Demands: Operate normal business office equipment. Must be able to travel
efficiently to off-site meeting locations throughout the Boulder area.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
