The Aging Workforce

Cost: Free to Chamber Members; Lunch will be provided
The term "aging workforce" means different things to different people. Topics for this class include:
- Understanding the common impacts of aging
- Recognizing the impact that age has on injuries in the workplace
- Identifying solutions to decrease the risk of injury for these employees
This meeting is approved for the Boulder Chamber's Safety Group program and counts towards one of the two sessions each member must attend per policy period.
Speaker
Clyde Serna, CSP, OHST, AIC
Safety Consultant
Clyde Serna has been with Pinnacol Assurance since 1993. Clyde came to Pinnacol with a background in both claims management and subrogation in the insurance industry. As a safety consultant, he has been instrumental in helping his customers identify hazards, reduce workplace accidents, the development of safety programs and creating a culture of safety, which can lead to a safer work environment.
Mr. Serna earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Northern Colorado and an associate’s in applied science degree in occupational safety from Trinidad State Junior College. Clyde is also a Certified Safety Professional, holds the designation of Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), and holds an Associate in Claims designation (AIC). He is a former president for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and past president of the Northern Colorado Section (Colorado Chapter) of ASSE. Clyde also sits on the external advisory board for the High Plains Intermountain Center for Agriculture Health and Safety.
