Event Description:
Storytelling Performance Workshop: The Art of the Arc
In this 6-week workshop, you will develop, refine, finalize, memorize, and be prepared to “wow” your audience with your final performance.
Bring your ideas for Week One—your own personal experiences or story pitch —and we will hone in on your story, find the perfect structure and practice a method of delivery that brings you and your personality front and center.
By the end of the 6 weeks you will be ready for the stage!
This class is both for business, venues like TedX and Ignite and for the art of storytelling at venues like “Truth be Told.”
Storytelling skills are easily translated to giving keynotes, pitching investors, presenting pitch-desks, developing your brand and motivating team staff via the art of storytelling.
Students will receive feedback, in a safe space from NY storyteller and speaker Alyssa Pinsker, who has performed at the Moth, Story Collider, How I Learned Series, Yum's the Word, New York Confidential and more.
Alyssa Pinsker is a writer, coach and storyteller whose work has appeared in BBC Travel, Lonely Planet, Fodors.com, Cosmopolitan, Time Out New York, Huffington Post and more.
